Electrocardiogram (ECG)

An Electrocardiogram, or ECG, is a swift and effective procedure that maps out your heart’s electrical activity. This critical tool helps us understand the rhythm of your heartbeat and any potential irregularities. Typically, an ECG is performed immediately prior to a Transthoracic Echocardiogram to provide a comprehensive cardiac profile.

During this non-invasive procedure, electrodes are strategically placed on your chest to capture your heart’s electrical signals. You will be asked to lie still and relax for a brief period while the ECG records these signals. Within minutes, the technician will print out your ECG, which will then be analysed by our team.

This quick and straightforward test is vital in assessing heart health, and it forms an integral part of our advanced cardiac diagnostic procedures.
